GIVING THANKS IN ALL THINGS
TESTIMONY #33
At the start of a Knowing Jesus session, as is usual, I asked if someone would like to open us in prayer. An older gentleman, new to our gathering offered to do so and took to his feet in reverence. His prayer for us was filled with thanksgiving — for God’s mercy, for our gathering, for the day, and then for something quite notable. He thanked God on behalf of all the men gathered for their incarceration. He thanked God for stopping them and putting them in a place to reflect and turn to Him.
What an encouragement for you and me on the outside to give thanks in all things — especially these days. This brother in Christ is using his spiritual sight to see the lordship and providence of God in that which others see only curse.
