I've known David for over seven years now. Like most of the incarcerated, David has a nickname. Everyone knows him as "Numbers". It is likely that he falls somewhere on the autism spectrum. While he has zero social skills and is impossible to offend, David is something of a genius. He speaks multiple languages. Most importantly, he loves Jesus and has a tremendous knowledge of Scriptures. He sees great significance in numbers and is not at all shy about telling others about what they reveal about Jesus and God's promises -- thus the moniker.

For the past few weeks, "Numbers" has been engaged in a new activity. He approaches other inmates asking them if they would mind if he signs them up for the callout that makes them eligible to attend Knowing Jesus. As a result, we have seen over 30 new attendees. While this ministry is not about numbers, "Numbers" is helping to multiply the fruitfulness of Mark 4.
